I’m Lex, a 50+ year old New York Puerto Rican woman, lifelong helper, and proud mom and stepmom to five. After spending 25+ years in the behavioral health field, doing work I truly loved, I was laid off and faced the reality of starting over.
In the middle of that transition, my stepdaughter got married. I offered to make chocolate-dipped treats for her big day, and what began as a simple gesture became a revelation. In the swirl of chocolate, sprinkles, and celebration, I rediscovered something essential: joy- found in the smiles of loved ones and the simple pleasure a treat can bring.
I’m self‑taught and still learning every day. With encouragement and overwhelmingly positive feedback from family and friends, I took a leap of faith and turned a hobby into a cottage bakery. I’ve never owned a business before, but I’ve always cared deeply for people, especially my family. My oldest child is disabled, and my partner and I know firsthand how a thoughtful moment can brighten a hard day. That’s the heart of this work: creating small, petite pleasures that feel like luxury without the luxury price tag.
Lex’s Little Luxuries specializes in chocolate‑dipped treats and cake pops, crafted in small batches with care, meant to turn ordinary days and milestone moments into something sweet. We believe in accessibility, kindness, and community. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, office thank‑you, part of 1 or “just because,” our aim is simple: to bring a little moment of joy to others...One Petite Sweet Pleasure at a time.
